Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) is seeking a Credit Officer for Credit Cards in Manila to evaluate and render decisions on new card and personal loan applications, including credit limit increase requests, following approved policies.

The role emphasizes risk assessment, adherence to standards, and collaboration with risk operations teams to ensure timely, compliant credit decisions and strong customer service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
• Minimum 2 years in credit, fraud management, or process risk quality in retail banking.
• Solid background in credit evaluation and operations.
• Exposure to audit and vendor functions.
• Ability to build and manage stakeholder relationships.
• Strong analytical and people management skills.
• Proficient in MS Office and credit/fraud systems.

Responsibilities

• Ensure credit initiation and underwriting meet service level targets.
• Make sure underwritten accounts meet PDO and RAM benchmarks.
• Achieve individual quota through productive underwriting.
• Ensure credit practices comply with internal and external regulations.
• Support special credit projects to improve turnaround time and reduce costs.
• Maintain quality in credit operation processes and service levels.
• Assist vendor management: selection, accreditation, negotiations, onboarding, and payments.
• Coordinate budget and manpower with Unsecured Lending and Cards Group partners.
