Job summary

hammerjack in the Philippines is seeking an Accountant / Bookkeeper to support Australian clients with accurate reporting, payroll, and timely reconciliations. You will help keep client accounts compliant and financially organised, delivering reliable finance operations on agreed timelines.

The role emphasizes working remotely with cross-border clients, handling BAS and IAS, and contributing to management reporting.

Qualifications

• Graduate with a Finance, Accounting, or related degree.
• CPA license preferred but not required.
• 2–3 years Australian bookkeeping/accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of client accounts and daily workflows.
• Knowledge of Australian taxation and compliance preferred.
• Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Familiar with Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare BAS and IAS for Australian clients.
• Manage payroll for selected clients, including superannuation.
• Maintain clean, up-to-date client records and reconciliations.
• Contribute to management reporting and provide timely financial insights.
• Assist in preparing financial statements and related reports.
• Reconcile bank and credit card statements accurately.
• Process and monitor accounts payable and receivable.
