Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years' bookkeeping experience focusing on NZ businesses.
• Strong knowledge of NZ GST requirements and compliance.
• Advanced experience with Xero and Xero Practice Manager.
• Experience preparing management reports and month-end reconciliations.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with high accuracy and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end bookkeeping for a large NZ client.
• Maintain accurate financial records using Xero.
• Process accounts payable and receivable and reconcile ledgers.
• Prepare month-end reports and financial summaries.
• Ensure NZ GST compliance and Inland Revenue reporting when required.
• Liaise with clients and support junior accounting staff.
