Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or related field.
• 2+ years of bookkeeping experience in public practice or equivalent (Australian Accounting).
• Experience with Xero (Xero certification).
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Stable internet connection for work-from-home setup and private work area.

Responsibilities

• Bookkeeping: prepare or review client bookkeeping, record transactions, reconcile accounts.
• Document management: organize client documentation and filing.
• Manage the entire client GL and resolve discrepancies.
• Verify financial statements, ledgers and accounts and correct where needed.
• Prepare income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, companies, trusts and SMSFs.
• Prepare Business Activity Statements and Fringe Benefits Tax Returns.
• Perform reconciliations and provide accounting services across client businesses.
