Job summary

The Back Room Offshoring Inc. is seeking a Senior Accountant to support a multi-client base of venture-backed startups in a fully remote role.

You will reconcile accounts, manage payroll-related tasks, and prepare timely financial reports while partnering with clients to streamline accounting processes. The position requires startup experience and strong communication skills for ongoing client interactions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field and 3+ years of accounting experience, startup-friendly preferred.
• Experience supporting multi-client startup bases and able to manage multiple engagements.
• Proficiency with cloud-based accounting tools and strong communication for client meetings.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile client accounts and perform general ledger reconciliations, including high-risk balance sheets.
• Manage accounts payable/receivable, revenue recognition, prepaid expenses, and tax-ready year-end reports.
• Build and improve robust accounting processes for diverse startup clients in a remote setting.
• Facilitate client meetings, review bookkeeper tasks, and ensure timely financial reporting.
