Job summary

Big Ideas Social Media Inc. is seeking an experienced and prolific Remote Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The role focuses on period-end close, GL maintenance, AP processing, tax reporting, and accurate financial data for management.

This is a full-time remote contract for a 3-month trial, with responsibilities including financial reporting, compliance filings, and collaboration with the CFO on accounting policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA preferred.
• 5+ years in accounting with 2+ years in management.
• Experience with US GAAP and ERP systems.
• Excellent Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead period-end close and manage general ledger activities.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and asset depreciation.
• Book journal entries for inventory and COGS.
• Manage Accounts Payable workflow and vendor invoices.
• Review daily sales/revenue journal entries for accurate revenue recognition.
• Support internal financial reporting and management analysis.
• Oversee tax compliance filings and related statutory filings.
• Assist Controller and CFO with finance tasks and ad hoc duties.
