Job summary

OpsArmy Careers is seeking a Senior Accountant to own end-to-end accounting and month-end close for an assigned portfolio of clients. You will bring hands-on QBO experience, inventory and cost accounting, and a strong background in transactional accounting for ecommerce or CPG businesses.

The role may involve independent work or acting as Controller and leading Staff Accountants depending on client engagement.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online (QBO).
• Experience with inventory and cost accounting for ecommerce/CPG.
• Proficient in transactional accounting and month-end close processes.
• Familiarity with inventory and cost accounting methods for ecommerce/CPG.

Responsibilities

• Support and own end-to-end month-end close for a portfolio of clients.
• Take ownership of specific accounting tasks within the close cycle.
• Perform transactional accounting; record, classify, and reconcile transactions.
• Manage inventory and cost accounting; ensure accurate reporting.
• Apply ecommerce/CPG accounting methods to transactions and reports.
• Prepare and support client accounting reports and financial deliverables.
• Respond to client questions; follow up on outstanding items.
• Maintain clean and up-to-date financial records in QBO and Double.
• Escalate issues to Controller as needed; monitor deadlines.
• Collaborate with Controllers and Staff Accountants to ensure quality reporting.
