The Sales Account Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with existing and potential clients, identifying new business opportunities, and achieving sales targets. The role involves promoting the company’s logistics, freight forwarding, trucking, and related services while ensuring excellent customer service and long-term account growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients and key accounts.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to increase company revenue and market presence.
- Present and promote the company’s logistics, freight forwarding, trucking, and related services to prospective clients.
- Conduct client visits, sales presentations, and business meetings as needed.
- Prepare and submit quotations, proposals, and service agreements based on client requirements.
- Negotiate rates, terms, and service conditions with clients within approved company guidelines.
- Monitor account performance, sales activities, and achievement of assigned targets.
- Coordinate closely with Operations, Customer Service, Finance, and other departments to ensure smooth delivery of services.
- Address client concerns, inquiries, and service issues promptly and professionally.
- Conduct regular follow-ups with clients to identify additional requirements and opportunities for account expansion.
- Maintain accurate and updated records of client information, sales activities, quotations, and transactions.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments that may affect business opportunities.
- Prepare regular sales reports and updates for management.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and approved pricing guidelines.
- Perform other sales and account management duties that may be assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Logistics, or a related field is preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience in sales, account management, or business development, preferably in logistics, freight forwarding, trucking, or a related industry.
- With an established network of clients or business contacts is an advantage.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Customer-oriented and capable of building long-term business relationships.
- Goal-oriented, proactive, and results-driven.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant business tools.
- Willing to conduct client visits and perform field sales activities.
- Willing to travel as required by the position.
