About the role
The Sales Engineer – Pre-Engineered Buildings (PEB) is responsible for developing new business opportunities, managing customer accounts, understanding clients' technical and commercial requirements, and preparing appropriate PEB solutions and proposals. The position serves as the link between the client, sales team, engineering/design team, estimation, and project execution teams, ensuring that proposed PEB solutions meet customer requirements, applicable standards, project specifications, and commercial objectives.
Key responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities for PEB systems and related structural steel solutions
- Conduct market research to identify potential clients, projects, contractors, developers, consultants, and other business opportunities
- Establish and maintain relationships with existing and prospective clients
- Conduct client visits, meetings, presentations, and technical discussions
- Monitor construction, industrial, commercial, warehouse, logistics, and other projects that may require PEB solutions
- Develop and maintain a sales pipeline and regularly update the status of prospective projects
- Achieve assigned sales targets, revenue objectives, and other agreed sales KPIs
- Understand the client's project requirements, including building dimensions, intended use, loading requirements, location, specifications, architectural requirements, and applicable standards
- Recommend appropriate PEB systems, structural solutions, materials, and building configurations based on project requirements
- Prepare and submit technical and commercial proposals to clients
About you
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
- Preferably 2–5 years of experience in technical sales, structural steel, PEB, construction, engineering, or related industries
- Experience in Pre-Engineered Buildings, structural steel, construction, or building systems is highly preferred
- Knowledge of PEB systems and structural steel components
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings
- Basic understanding of structural design concepts and construction methods
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong prospecting and business development skills
- Excellent negotiation and presentation skills
- Strong customer relationship management skills
