Job Description
The Sales Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth by securing high-value contracts for structural steel projects, pre‑engineered buildings (PEB), and related construction materials. The role involves managing the full sales lifecycle—from lead generation and technical consultation to contract negotiation and handover to the project management team. The ideal candidate has a deep network within the construction industry and a strong understanding of steel fabrication processes.
Job Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Business Administration.
- Experience: 2‑5 years of sales experience specifically within Steel Structures, PEB, or Heavy Building Materials.
- Technical Proficiency: Ability to read and interpret structural drawings and CAD files.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional negotiation, public speaking, and relationship‑management abilities.
- Mobility: Willingness to travel frequently to project sites and client offices.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Development & Strategic Growth
- Identify and capture new business opportunities in sectors such as industrial warehousing, high‑rise commercial buildings, and infrastructure projects.
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to expand the company’s market share in the building materials sector.
- Build and maintain long‑term relationships with key stakeholders, including developers, civil contractors, architects, and government procurement officers.
- Technical Consultation & Bidding
- Collaborate with the engineering and estimation teams to provide accurate project quotes based on technical drawings and blueprints.
- Analyze project specifications (e.g., steel grades, load‑bearing requirements, and coating standards) to offer value‑engineered solutions to clients.
- Lead the preparation and presentation of formal tenders and commercial proposals.
- Manage the sales pipeline through a CRM system, ensuring timely follow‑ups and accurate forecasting.
- Negotiate contract terms, pricing, and payment schedules to ensure project profitability while maintaining client satisfaction.
- Conduct market research to stay ahead of industry trends, competitor pricing, and emerging construction technologies.
- Act as the primary bridge between the client and the manufacturing plant to ensure production schedules align with delivery deadlines.
- Represent the corporation at industry trade shows, exhibitions, and networking events.
