Job Summary
The Sales Capability Manager is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing programs that enhance the skills, knowledge, and effectiveness of the sales organization. This role focuses on building sales competencies, improving sales performance, and driving capability development initiatives aligned with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Capability Development
- Design and implement a comprehensive sales capability framework across all sales roles
- Identify skill gaps and training needs through performance analysis and stakeholder engagement
- Develop competency models, learning paths, and certification programs for sales teams
Training & Learning Programs
- Create and deliver training programs (classroom, virtual, on-the-job) for sales personnel
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to develop learning content
- Ensure training programs are aligned with business goals, products, and market dynamics
Performance Improvement
- Analyze sales performance metrics to identify areas for improvement
- Partner with Sales Leaders to drive targeted interventions and coaching programs
- Monitor and evaluate effectiveness of training initiatives using KPIs and ROI measures
Sales Tools & Processes
- Develop and standardize sales tools, playbooks, and methodologies
- Ensure consistent implementation of sales processes across regions
Talent Development & Coaching
- Support onboarding programs for new sales hires
- Implement coaching frameworks for frontline managers
- Drive a culture of continuous learning and development within the sales organization
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Human Resources, or related field.
- With more than 5 years of experience in Sales, Sales Training, or Capability Development
- Proven track record in designing and delivering sales training programs
- Experience in FMCG, manufacturing, or multinational environments is a plus
- Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS)
- Willing to travel nationwide
