Job summary

SINIAN INT'L CORPORATION is seeking a Safety Officer to implement and monitor occupational safety and health policies at construction sites. You will conduct site inspections, toolbox meetings, and risk assessments to ensure compliance with DOLE OSH standards and company policies.

The role requires experience in site-based projects, strong leadership, and excellent documentation skills. Candidates should be willing to work overtime and be deployed to multiple project sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, OSH or related field preferred.
• DOLE-recognized Safety Officer cert/training.
• Experience as Safety Officer in construction or site projects.
• Knowledge of DOLE OSH Standards and construction safety practices.
• Experience conducting toolbox meetings, safety inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
• Good communication, leadership, and documentation skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Willing to work overtime and be assigned to different project sites as required.
• OSH/COSH certification is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor occupational safety and health policies and procedures at the construction site.
• Conduct regular site inspections to identify hazards, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions.
• Ensure compliance with DOLE Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Standards and company safety policies.
• Conduct toolbox meetings, safety orientations, and pre-task safety briefings.
• Monitor workers' proper use of PPE and compliance with site safety requirements.
• Prepare and maintain safety reports, inspection checklists, incident reports, and other required documentation.
• Identify hazards and recommend appropriate corrective and preventive measures.
• Monitor construction activities to ensure safe work practices are consistently followed.
• Assist in investigating accidents, incidents, and near‑miss cases.
• Coordinate with the Site Engineer, Foreman, Project Manager, and workers regarding safety concerns.
• Monitor housekeeping and overall site conditions to ensure a safe working environment.
• Assist in emergency preparedness, evacuation procedures, and safety drills.
• Report serious safety violations, incidents, and hazardous conditions to the appropriate supervisor.
• Perform other safety‑related duties as assigned.
