Mevbuilt Incorporated in Malay, Philippines, is seeking a Safety Officer III to oversee health and safety on a general construction site. The role requires proactive leadership and hands-on enforcement of safety rules to protect workers and the project.

You will conduct risk assessments, implement safety policies, lead safety audits and inspections, investigate incidents, coordinate with contractors and government bodies, and ensure timely documentation and compliance with RA 11058 and DOLE

Qualifications

• Must be a Safety Officer III.
• COSH training is preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience as a safety officer in general construction.
• In-depth knowledge of RA 11058 and DO 198-18 (Philippine Occupational Safety and Health Law).
• With additional 40 hours safety training related to construction.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• First Aid/CPR certification is an advantage.

• Ensure compliance with DOLE, OSH, and other applicable safety regulations and standards.
• Supervise and coordinate with Safety Officers I and II, providing guidance and mentorship.

• Lead safety toolbox meetings, orientations, and emergency preparedness drills.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses; prepare reports and recommend corrective actions.
• Liaise with site management, contractors, and government bodies on safety-related concerns.
• Maintain and submit all required safety documentation and permits.
• Recommend and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
• Monitor the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure its availability.
