Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in OSH, engineering, or related field is preferred.
• Must have valid DOLE-accredited Safety Officer certification (BOSH/COSH).
• Experience as Safety Officer in construction, industrial, fabrication, plant, or engineering projects is desirable.
• Knowledge of Philippine OSH Standards and DOLE requirements.
• Strong hazard identification, risk assessment, and incident prevention knowledge.
• Good documentation and report-writing skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
• First Aid and BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

About the role

Implement and monitor the company's Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) policies, programs, and procedures. Conduct regular site inspections to identify unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and potential workplace hazards. Ensure compliance with applicable DOLE, OSH Standards, and project-specific safety requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct and facilitate toolbox meetings, safety orientations, and other safety-related activities
• Monitor the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and ensure compliance with established safety procedures
• Prepare and maintain safety reports, inspection checklists, incident reports, and other required safety documentation
• Assist in investigating workplace accidents, incidents, and near‑miss cases and recommend appropriate corrective and preventive actions
• Coordinate with project management, workers, and other personnel regarding safety concerns and corrective measures
• Monitor work activities involving high-risk operations and ensure that appropriate safety controls are implemented
• Ensure proper implementation of work permits, safety procedures, and emergency response protocols
• Assist in emergency preparedness, drills, and response activities
• Promote a strong safety culture and continuously encourage employees to observe safe work practices

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Engineering, or a related field is an advantage
• Must have a valid DOLE-accredited Safety Officer certification (BOSH/COSH) appropriate to the position
• Relevant experience as a Safety Officer, preferably in construction, industrial, fabrication, plant, or engineering projects
• Knowledgeable in Philippine Occupational Safety and Health Standards and applicable DOLE requirements
• Good knowledge of hazard identification, risk assessment, accident prevention, and workplace safety practices
• Strong communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills
• Good documentation and report-writing skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Capable of working in an industrial/project environment
