Job summary

Link Energie Industries Co. Inc. (LEI) is seeking a Safety Officer to develop, implement and monitor safety policies across construction sites in Metro Manila.

The role requires coordinating with project managers, engineers, clients and site staff to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities include conducting risk assessments, leading safety meetings and training, and maintaining safety records.

Qualifications

• Graduate of any 4-yr course with at least three (3) years of experience as a Safety Officer in the construction industry or related field.
• Completed the government mandated training in Construction Occupational Safety and Health (COSH) and advanced specialized training is an advantage
• With Occupational Safety and Health Practitioner is an advantage
• Supervisory experience as Safety officer; with proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation and excellence. Oversight to laborers/workers in a construction site.
• With excellent leadership and strong communication in written, oral, presentation/facilitation and interpersonal skills.
• Strong Knowledge in ISO Regulations, Occupational Safety and Health Standards and Safey Act (RA 11058), Department Order 252-25, Workplace Safety and Environmental Protection Act.
• Preferred training certificates: Scaffolding and Working at heights, Confined Space, Welding, Loss Control Management (LCM), HIRAC.

Job description

• Develops, implements and monitors policies, procedures and programs in compliance with local/national regulations and company safety policies by maintaining accurate records, completing regular safety reports, and submitting necessary documentation to management and DOLE.
• Monitor and track safety metrics on site.
• Conduct regular safety inspections, audits and risk assessments to identify hazards at project sites and recommend corrective actions to mitigate or eliminate hazards in the workplace.
• Provide and maintain statistical data, reports and analysis of accident/incident trends to operation in support of accident/incident reduction goals and continuous improvement of workplace health and safety.
• Establish effective communication skills and coordination among Project Managers, Project Site Engineers, Project Site Staff, Clients, construction site workers, and sub-con on site, regarding safety related protocols.
• Coordinate emergency preparedness and response drills and ensure readiness of emergency equipment.
