Job summary

Compresstech Resources Inc. in Manila is seeking a Safety Officer III with 3–5 years of occupational health and safety experience. A four-year degree is preferred, plus BOSH and advanced OSH trainings, a valid driver’s license, and strong English/Filipino communication.

The role leads the OSH program, conducts risk assessments, develops policies, ensures regulatory compliance, and delivers training. It’s a full-time onsite position with benefits like meals and company equipment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of any four-year course; engineering preferred.
• Completed 40-hour Basic Occupational Safety and Health (BOSH) training.
• Completed 48-hour advanced specialized OSH training (e.g., Loss Control Management, Safety Audit).
• Prefer accredited Safety Practitioner (Safety Officer III).
• Must have a Driver’s License.
• Knowledgeable of government labor and OSH laws.
• Proficient in English and Filipino.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the entire OSH program, ensuring updates, compliance, and improvement.
• Conduct Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Control (HIRAC) and other job hazard analyses to identify and mitigate risks.
• Develop and implement safety policies and programs to ensure a safe working environment.
• Ensure strict adherence to national and local safety laws and regulations.
• Create and deliver safety training programs, safety orientations, and toolbox talks for workers.
• Investigate incidents, near-misses, and unsafe practices, gathering data and recommending corrective actions.
• Perform regular safety inspections of facilities, equipment, and work practices; assist with audits.
• Maintain safety records, accident reports, inspection logs, and required documentation for management and agencies.
• Coordinate emergency preparedness and response activities within the workplace.
