Qualifications

• Five years of experience in Occupational Safety and Health management.

Job Summary

The Assistant Manager - Safety serves as the company's principal resource for Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) compliance and implementation. The role is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring health, safety, and environmental programs to prevent workplace incidents, eliminate hazards, promote a culture of safety, and ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Safety Management & Compliance

• Assist in the development, review, and implementation of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies, standards, and procedures.

• Ensure compliance with RA 11058, OSH Standards, and other applicable government regulations.

• Prepare and submit required statutory and regulatory safety reports.

• Liaise with government agencies during inspections, audits, and accident investigations.

• Perform duties of a DOLE-accredited Safety Officer in accordance with applicable regulations.

Risk Management

• Conduct hazard identification, risk assessment, and control (HIRAC) activities.

• Lead periodic reviews of critical process risk assessments.

• Recommend corrective and preventive actions to mitigate risks.

• Monitor site compliance and ensure implementation of safety controls.

Incident Investigation & Prevention

• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-miss events.

• Prepare incident reports and recommend corrective action plans.

• Track safety performance indicators and analyze trends to drive continuous improvement.

• Support the achievement of zero disabling accidents and fatalities.

Training & Stakeholder Engagement

• Conduct safety orientations and safety awareness programs.

• Recommend and facilitate safety training for employees and contractors.

• Represent the company in safety meetings, conferences, and industry organizations.

• Provide technical safety consultation to project teams and business units.

Audits & Continuous Improvement

• Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits.

• Monitor OSH compliance across assigned projects.

• Develop and maintain safety performance databases and KPI reports.

• Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen the safety management system.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related discipline.

Experience

• At least five (5) years of experience in Occupational Safety and Health management.

• Experience implementing OSH Management Systems and regulatory compliance programs.

• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience is highly preferred.

Certifications

• DOLE Certified Safety Officer 3 (SO3) or higher.
