Rostering Coordinator
Job Description:
Rostering:
- Coordinate the development of rosters for Direct Support Staff that are compliant with rostering guidelines, availability and participant needs.
- Provide support to Direct Support Staff while they are performing their duties, where necessary.
- Ensure all components of the service delivery are appropriately managed.
- Ensure rosters are cost effective and use of resources is efficient.
- Ensure workforce needs are monitored and liase with HR Manager when new staffing resources are needed.
- Ensure that all data in the rostering system is accurate and up to date and that all changes are actioned daily.
- Ensure the quality of services rostered and delivered meets appropriate performance standards.
- Ensure shift allocation is within the participant’s plan, and all allocated shifts comply with award provisions
- Ensure all services delivered are managed efficiently to minimise financial loss to the company.
Intake:
- Ensure that all potential participant enquiries are attended to in a timely manner.
- Maintain current and accurate referrals and support delivery information as per agreements and the company’s policies and procedures.
- Participate in the continuous improvement and development of service delivery and other associated processes.
- Ensure services are delivered within the framework of the company’s policies and procedures.
Compliance:
- Ensure day to day regulatory compliance and adherence to organizational policy and procedures.
Organisation/Customer Service and Experience:
- Demonstrate and uphold Company values.
- Customer Service (internal and external) and participant and family/carer engagement.
- Support key business functions of the organization, ensuring a positive public image of the company is presented.
- Ensure effective communication with all stakeholders.

Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Rostering Coordinator or a similar role.
- Functional knowledge in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience in disability work is a plus.
- Proficiency in using Easy Employer (Rostering platform) is a plus.
- Functional knowledge of MYOB is a plus.
- Good employee verbal/phone communication skills.
- Good employee written communication skills.
- A strong commitment to the values of the company, including a recognition of participants’ fundamental human rights and engagement in respectful conduct.
- Evidence of using high level of attention to detail and very high standards of accuracy, relevant to rostering purposes.
- Evidence of applying excellent organisation, time management, prioritisation and coordination skills to maximise efficiency in a busy rostering environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to working as part of a team as well as being able to work unsupervised.
- A professional attitude, along with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- A willingness to try new things and be receptive to supervisor feedback and advice.
- Ability to provide supports safely by following the individual support plan and organisational policies and procedures, and by applying common sense and foresight.
- Ability to effectively communicate using clear and concise language, both written and oral, including the ability to write case notes and reports.
- Ability to work independently, using initiative and self-direction, within scope of practice.
