Job summary

ABest Express Inc. is seeking a Management Trainee to join our retail operations team in Baguio City, Benguet. This full-time role mentors under experienced store managers to gain hands-on experience in retail operations and customer service excellence.

You will develop leadership, inventory management, and team supervision skills, preparing you for progression into store management. The program emphasizes hands-on training, mentorship, and pathways to career growth within our retail network.

Qualifications

• Secondary education completed; tertiary qualification in business, retail management, or a related field is preferred
• Strong leadership potential with the ability to motivate and inspire team members
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups
• Customer service excellence and a genuine commitment to exceeding customer expectations
• Organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently
• Numeracy skills and proficiency with point-of-sale systems and basic computer applications
• Reliability, punctuality, and a professional attitude towards work
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift items weighing up to 15 kg
• Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays as required
• Prior retail or customer service experience is advantageous

Responsibilities

• Assist in the day-to-day operations of the store, including opening and closing procedures
• Support the store manager in inventory management, stock rotation, and merchandising activities
• Provide exceptional customer service and address customer enquiries and concerns
• Supervise and train junior staff members, demonstrating company policies and procedures
• Monitor store cleanliness, safety standards, and compliance with health and hygiene regulations
• Assist with cash handling, point-of-sale operations, and reconciliation of sales records
• Participate in promotional activities and ensure effective product displays
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and report feedback to store management
• Support recruitment and onboarding activities for new team members
• Maintain accurate documentation and administrative records as required
