Job summary

Hammerjack Pty Ltd is seeking a strategic, hands-on Head of Operations to lead our retail footprint including boutiques, department store locations, and pop-ups. You will balance commercial performance, people leadership, and customer experience while driving store standards and financial goals.

You will lead the Operations team, collaborate with Merchandising, Marketing, Finance, and HR, and ensure efficient, consistent execution across all locations and channels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, Marketing, or related field.
• 8–12+ years of experience in retail operations.
• Strong analytical, problem solving and decision making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organized, hands-on, with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Willingness to travel regularly to stores and other locations.
• Experience in fashion, apparel, lifestyle, department store, or specialty retail is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead the overall operations of the company across boutiques, department store locations, pop-ups, and other channels.
• Ensure stores meet operational, sales, customer service, visual merchandising, and brand standards.
• Develop and implement operating procedures, policies, and systems for efficiency and consistency.
• Visit stores to assess performance and identify improvement opportunities.
• Drive sales targets, productivity metrics, and profitability across locations.
• Lead and develop the Operations team and store leadership; set KPIs and conduct reviews.
• Ensure customer service levels, store presentation, and brand experience are consistently delivered.
• Oversee inventory control, stock transfers, replenishment, and stockroom organization.
• Plan and execute new store openings, relocations, renovations, and pop-ups.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Finance, HR, and other departments for campaigns and events.
• Provide regular reporting and insights on retail performance and operations.
