Job summary

Scallion for Free, a Chinese restaurant located in Bugis, Singapore, seeks an experienced Operations Manager to lead daily restaurant operations and drive business growth. You will oversee front-of-house and kitchen coordination, recruit and train staff, manage inventory and costs, and ensure compliance with food safety and licensing standards.

Together with management, you will monitor sales and prepare reports to hit revenue targets, while handling customer feedback professionally and planning

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in F&B operations, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Good understanding of cost control, inventory management and P&L.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations; Food Safety Course Level 3 (or willingness to obtain) is an advantage.
• Familiarity with POS systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Able to work shifts, weekends and public holidays in line with restaurant operating hours.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily restaurant operations, including front-of-house and kitchen coordination, to ensure smooth service and a consistent guest experience.
• Recruit, train, schedule and supervise service and kitchen staff; conduct performance reviews.
• Manage inventory, purchasing and supplier relationships; control food and labour costs.
• Monitor sales, prepare daily/monthly operational and financial reports, and work towards revenue and profit targets.
• Ensure compliance with SFA food safety and hygiene standards, workplace safety and licensing requirements.
• Handle customer feedback and complaints professionally and promptly.
• Plan and execute promotions, menu updates and operational improvements with management.
• Maintain equipment and premises; coordinate repairs and maintenance.
