Job summary

delegatecx is seeking a Home-Based Staff Accountant - Accounts Payable to support day-to-day accounting operations for a U.S.-based client. The role emphasizes AP processing, vendor invoices, expense reports, and proper GL coding with strong documentation and approvals.

You will also assist with general ledger activities, month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting across multiple entities, collaborating with the Controller and Accounting team to strengthen full-cycle accounting

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field, or equivalent experience.
2–4 years of accounting experience, preferably in a multi-entity environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft D365; strong Excel skills; GAAP knowledge.

Responsibilities

Perform general ledger accounting for assigned clients' entities, including journal entry prep and posting in D365.
Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes with adherence to deadlines.
Prepare and maintain account reconciliations, investigate variances.
Support intercompany accounting and eliminations across entities.
Assist with internal financial reports and supporting schedules for management.
Maintain fixed asset records and reconcile to the general ledger.
Provide backup for AP/AR tasks during peak periods.
Assist with audit schedules and respond to auditor requests.
Ensure compliance with accounting policies and internal controls.
