Job summary

Delegate CX seeks a Home-Based Staff Accountant – Accounts Payable to support the U.S.-based client. You will review and process vendor invoices, manage expense reports, payments, and vendor records while ensuring accuracy and proper approval.

The role requires independence in a remote setup and strict confidentiality of sensitive information. You will also handle AP reconciliations, vendor statements, W-9/1099 administration, and collaborate with a small accounting team to maintain audit-ready

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• At least 2 years in accounts payable, bookkeeping, expense processing, or similar role.
• Working knowledge of AP cycle, GL coding, vendor management, and expense processing.
• Basic W-9/1099 understanding; prefer experience with W-9/1099 admin.
• Proficient in QuickBooks, Excel, and Microsoft 365 applications.

Responsibilities

• Review, code, and enter vendor invoices and AP transactions with proper GL accounts.
• Verify invoices and approvals; identify duplicates and discrepancies for resolution.
• Process employee expense reports; ensure policy compliance and proper documentation.
• Coordinate with staff and vendors to obtain missing documentation.
• Maintain vendor records, including W-9/1099; support month-end activities.
• Prepare approved payments (ACH, checks, cards) with proper segregation of duties.
• Assist with AP reconciliations, vendor statements, and recurring bills.
• Keep audit-ready records of invoices, payments, and accounting transactions.
• Support 1099 administration and other recurring accounting requirements.
