Job summary

MAVI is seeking an experienced Controller to own the accounting function for a high-growth US company, working remotely from LATAM. You will oversee the close, financial statements, and control environment, partnering with senior leadership to ensure accurate reporting and audit readiness.

You will supervise the accounting team, drive ERP and process improvements, and translate complex numbers into actionable insights for non-finance stakeholders while operating autonomously outside the US.

Qualifications

• 8-10+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Demonstrated ownership of the close and financial statements.
• Strong command of US GAAP, including revenue recognition and leases.
• Experience with multi-entity accounting and intercompany eliminations.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close with calendar, quality outputs, and cycle time.
• Prepare P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow under US GAAP and defend numbers to leadership.
• Lead audit or review end-to-end and coordinate with external auditors.
• Manage AP, AR, payroll, and expenses; ensure balance sheet integrity.
• Build accounting processes, policies, and internal controls for a growing company.
