Job summary

MAVI seeks an experienced Senior Accounting Manager to run the accounting operation for US-based client companies, working remotely from Mexico. This senior role reports to the Controller and combines hands-on accounting with leadership over a growing team.

You will own the monthly close, financial reporting under US GAAP, and the design of scalable processes across ERP systems, while partnering with US leadership and auditors.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience with direct management of staff.
• Strong command of US GAAP including ASC 606, ASC 842, ASC 718 advantages.
• Experience leading audits or reviews with external auditors.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close end-to-end.
• Prepare US GAAP financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
• Provide first-line review of journal entries, reconciliations and schedules.
• Maintain ASC 606 revenue recognition and deferred revenue schedules.
• Oversee multi-entity accounting, intercompany eliminations, currency translation.
• Produce monthly/quarterly reporting packages with insightful variance analysis.
