Persona is hiring a Sales Development Representative to build an outbound sales function from the ground up for an early-stage product. This role focuses on generating pipeline through creative prospecting, cold outreach, and qualified meetings while shaping processes that support future growth.

As the function matures, there is room to run sales calls independently and grow into leadership, including light account management and team coordination.

Qualifications

• Experience with outbound prospecting, lead generation, sales development.
• Background supporting an early-stage product or building sales processes from scratch.
• Experience selling something abstract or technical such as developer tools, infrastructure, data, etc.
• Comfortable with tools like Apollo and Clay, and open to testing new tools.
• Creative, resourceful approach to prospecting with a hunter mentality.
• Strong organization and ownership of pipeline-building activities.
• Interest in growing into broader sales responsibilities, including leading calls and light account management.

Responsibilities

• Build targeted lead lists by researching relevant, high-intent prospects.
• Find prospects through creative sources beyond standard email databases.
• Run cold outbound campaigns and book qualified meetings.
• Experiment with new sourcing tools and tactics and document outbound processes.
• Join sales calls over time, progressing toward independent conversations.
• Support light, non-technical account management for closed customers.
