Job summary

Harris Computer is seeking a Costumer Service Representative/Patient Service Representative to handle patient inquiries and billing concerns remotely. You will interview patients to understand needs, coordinate information with healthcare staff, and ensure compliance with policies.

Key duties include answering calls, collecting balances, assisting insurers, and handling confidential information with care. Strong communication, reliability, and flexibility with schedule are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have strong communication skills and be able to interview and listen to patient needs.
• Experience handling confidential information with HIPAA awareness is preferred.
• Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations and maintain accurate financial details.
• Detail oriented with good organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Proficient in email usage and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls according to procedure and departmental standards.
• Collect patients' outstanding balance and assist with billing queries.
• Assist third party entities, e.g., insurance, in patient account queries.
• Place outbound collection calls according to procedure and departmental standards.
• Ensure HIPAA guidelines are respected in daily duties.
• Support department and company goals and policies; be a reliable team player.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
