Job summary

GoLean Health is seeking a detail-oriented Virtual Medical Receptionist to support a busy US-based Neurology clinic from a remote location. You will handle scheduling, patient inquiries, referrals, prior authorizations, and insurance verification while maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year as a Virtual Medical Assistant, strong communication skills, excellent multitasking, and experience with EMR systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience as Virtual Medical Assistant for a US-based clinic.
• Experience with appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and patient communication.
• Familiarity with healthcare workflows, medical terminology, and EMR systems.
• Experience managing referrals is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule patient appointments accurately and efficiently.
• Process medication prior authorizations and communicate with insurers and patients.
• Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits prior to appointments.
• Receive, process, and track patient referrals with providers and insurers.
• Answer inbound calls professionally and respond to patient inquiries and requests.
