Job summary

Cardinal Education is seeking an HR Employee Relations Lead to own and oversee the full spectrum of HR and employee relations. You will ensure compliance, consistency, and a positive employee experience across the organization.

The role requires hands‑on, solutions‑oriented leadership capable of managing complex HR matters while partnering with managers and leadership to strengthen accountability and people processes. Fully remote position with global exposure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, business, psychology, or related field.
• 5+ years in HR generalist/employee relations with multiple HR functions.
• Strong knowledge of HR practices, employee relations, performance management, and labor laws.
• Experience handling investigations and sensitive employee matters including HR operations and payroll coordination.
• Demonstrated ability to independently own HR processes and drive compliance.
• Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and discretion; able to work with leadership.
• Experience supporting US-based employees and familiarity with US HR practices preferred.

Responsibilities

• Employee Relations: manage employee concerns, investigations, conflicts, and disciplinary matters.
• Policies and Compliance: develop and maintain HR policies and ensure labor law compliance.
• Performance Management: oversee reviews, probationary assessments, and improvement plans.
• Employee Lifecycle: oversee onboarding, offboarding, documentation, transitions.
• HR Operations and Payroll: manage HR administration, records, timekeeping, attendance, and payroll coordination.
• Employee Engagement: lead engagement initiatives and wellbeing programs.
• HR Systems and Process Improvement: maintain HR systems and improve workflows.
• Manager and Leadership Support: guide people management and policy interpretation.
• HR Reporting: monitor HR metrics and identify risks and improvements.
