Job summary

Addiction Foods NZ Ltd. is seeking an experienced HR Manager to join as a hands-on individual contributor, managing HR processes end-to-end from onboarding to offboarding.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of hands-on HR Generalist / HR Management experience.
• Proven experience working as an individual contributor, personally managing HR processes.
• Strong hands-on experience in Learning & Development, Performance Management and KPI administration, Payroll, Compensation & Benefits.
• Demonstrated ability to manage HR work end to end, from planning and execution through reporting and follow-up.
• Proven examples of improving HR processes, workflows, controls, or systems.
• Strong Excel, reporting, documentation, and analytical skills.
• Good understanding of HR systems, employee data, and HR operational controls.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities without close supervision.
• Strong English communication skills.
• A clear growth mindset — willing to learn, experiment, adapt, and continuously improve.

Responsibilities

• Manage Learning & Development end to end, including training needs analysis, planning, coordination, tracking, evaluation, certification, and reporting.
• Manage Performance Management and KPI processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, probation reviews, performance improvement plans, and KPI tracking.
• Coordinate and validate payroll processing, including attendance, leave, overtime, allowances, deductions, salary adjustments, and employee movements.
• Manage Compensation & Benefits administration, including salary and benefits data, allowances, employee changes, and supporting documentation.
• Handle key employee lifecycle activities, including onboarding, confirmation, employee movements, and offboarding.
• Maintain accurate employee records, HRIS information, payroll data, and HR documentation.
• Prepare HR reports, dashboards, workforce analysis, and management information.
• Work directly with employees and managers to resolve day-to-day HR operational matters.
• Review existing HR processes and identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, improve, and automate workflows.
• Develop and improve SOPs, process maps, forms, templates, controls, and user guides.
• Participate in or lead HR automation and digital improvement projects.
• Explore practical use of AI and automation tools for HR reporting, documentation, learning, recruitment, analytics, employee forms, approvals, and workflows.
• Coordinate with Finance, IT, managers, vendors, payroll providers, and benefits providers as required.
• Take ownership of assigned HR projects from problem identification through implementation and follow-through.
