Job summary

BruntWork is seeking a highly organized part-time Home Health Care Coordinator to support daily operations for a private home health care agency. You will monitor referral platforms, process patient intakes, and maintain EMR records using MyUnity.

Responsibilities include verification of insurance, initiating SOC/ROC, and auditing records to ensure accuracy. You will handle referrals, data entry, and reporting, coordinating with providers remotely on Saturdays and Sundays 8:00 AM–5:00 PM MDT.

Qualifications

• Experience in U.S. healthcare administration, medical records, referral coordination, patient intake, or similar administrative roles.
• Proficiency in speaking and writing in English.
• Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems; MyUnity experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of insurance verification and authorization processes.
• Strong data entry skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to monitor multiple systems simultaneously while maintaining accuracy.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to handle confidential patient information in compliance with HIPAA and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Monitor multiple referral platforms during business hours and respond within service levels.
• Verify insurance eligibility and process authorizations to support admissions.
• Enter Start of Care, SOC/ROC, and discharges in the EMR system.
• Generate and distribute daily operational reports to staff.
• Maintain organized referral spreadsheets, logs, and checklists.
• Audit medical records and follow up on corrections as needed.
• Communicate with referral sources via email and online portals.
• Call clients to schedule Start of Care visits and coordinate scheduling.
