Job summary

Outsourced in the Philippines is seeking a commercially-minded Business Development Manager to own existing customer relationships and actively pursue new business opportunities. This dual-focus role balances account management with prospecting, pitching, and closing to expand our customer base.

You will be the main contact for a portfolio of accounts, driving retention, growth, and high customer satisfaction while building a pipeline of qualified leads and reporting on performance against

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a business development, account management, or sales role.
• Track record of meeting or exceeding revenue/growth targets.
• Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills.
• Confident communicator, comfortable presenting to clients at all levels.
• Self-starter who can manage a varied workload across retention and acquisition activity.

Responsibilities

• Own a portfolio of existing accounts, acting as the primary relationship contact
• Conduct regular check-ins and business reviews to understand evolving customer needs
• Identify and convert upsell/cross-sell opportunities within the existing base
• Monitor account health, resolve issues proactively
• Track customer satisfaction and act as an internal advocate for customer needs
• Research and identify prospective customers
• Build and manage a pipeline of qualified leads
• Maintain accurate records of activity, pipeline and forecasts
• Report regularly on performance against targets (retention, growth, new business revenue)
• Stay informed on market trends, competitor activity, and customer industry developments
