Job summary

Agent Careers is seeking an experienced Financial Controller for a full-time, remote role operating under US business hours. You will lead bookkeeping staff, oversee AR/AP across multiple client accounts, and drive month-end close with precise financial statements.

You will use Ramp and QuickBooks Online daily, provide forecasting data, and assist the fractional CFO with Excel-based modeling. The role requires attention to accuracy and strong collaboration with clients and teammates.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of Controller experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
• Solid understanding of GAAP and accounting process management.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks Online required; Ramp experience preferred but not required.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise bookkeeping staff and oversee division of duties.
• Take full responsibility for accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) management across multiple client accounts.
• Ensure comprehensive month-end close, including booking transactions, making adjusting journal entries, and preparing financial statements for review.
• Maintain proficiency in and day-to-day use of Ramp (AP platform) and QuickBooks Online.
• Provide reliable financial data for forecasting and support the fractional CFO with financial modeling (mainly Excel) and data entry when needed.
• Review and correct financials prior to CFO review, minimizing the need for additional adjustments.
• Participate in special projects as needed, including due diligence for fundraising or acquisition, and preparation for audits.
• Communicate clearly with team members and clients; work collaboratively but independently.
