Somewhere is seeking a meticulous Financial Controller to own financial operations, FP&A and data integrity. This remote contractor role reports to management and requires independence with no direct reports. Key duties include close collaboration with teams and maintaining records in QuickBooks.

The candidate should have 3–5+ years of financial management experience, CPA/ACCA/CMA preferred, and strong English communication. U.S. market exposure is a plus, with 7 AM-3 PM PST overlap.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA/ACCA/CMA preferred.
• 3–5+ years in financial management, accounting, or controlling.
• Experience with FP&A and financial analysis.
• Strong QuickBooks experience; Stride Retail (Odoo) knowledge is a plus.
• U.S. market experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with ERP and accounting systems (SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks).
• Attention to detail, organization, and communication.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable processes.
• Perform bank and account reconciliations.
• Conduct cash flow analysis for liquidity.
• Support FP&A including budgeting and forecasting.
• Provide actionable financial insights to management.
• Maintain accurate financial records in QuickBooks.
• Utilize Stride Retail (Odoo) if applicable.
