Job summary

Twoconnect seeks an experienced Finance Officer to support day-to-day accounting and finance operations for an Australian business. You will manage accounts payable, payroll support, reconciliations, Xero transactions and month-end activities in a small, hands-on team.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years' Australian accounting experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently with excellent English communication and proficiency in Excel, Xero, and Projectworks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or Business with an Accounting major is essential.
• Minimum 5 years' relevant experience as a Finance Officer, Accountant or senior bookkeeping role is essential.
• Sound working knowledge of Australian GST, BAS, payroll tax and payroll compliance requirements.
• Strong hands-on accounts payable experience including invoice coding, approval controls and supplier reconciliations.
• Hands-on payroll processing or payroll review experience including reconciliations and discrepancies.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable end to end, including validation, coding, routing and payments.
• Maintain supplier records and reconcile supplier statements.
• Support Australian payroll processing and review inputs before approval.
• Prepare BAS, GST, payroll tax and other statutory obligations for lodgement.
• Reconcile bank, corporate cards and balance sheet accounts.
• Review employee expense claims and corporate card transactions for compliance.
