Job summary

Hunt St Pty Ltd is seeking a Philippines-based Finance Officer to handle bookkeeping, accounts receivable/payable and payroll for an Australian client. This is a remote independent contractor role with flexibility and about 2 hours overlap with Melbourne hours.

You will work directly with the Office Manager and client to keep financial records accurate, issue timely invoices, manage collections and ensure seamless data flow between job management and accounting systems.

Qualifications

• Advanced proficiency in Xero including payroll, AP/AR.
• Proven bookkeeping experience with deadlines and reconciliations.
• Knowledge of Australian bookkeeping and payroll workflows.
• Experience with debtor follow-up and client finance communications.
• Strong reconciliation skills and attention to source documents.
• Clear written and spoken English; professional client communications.
• Reliable remote work setup with overlap of ~2 hours with Melbourne time.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable and payroll.
• Prepare BAS data, reconciliations and workpapers; liaise with CEO.
• Issue invoices and manage collections; ensure accurate records.
• Maintain supplier/subcontractor records; process payments and reconciliations.
• Support Simpro workflows and ensure data flow between Simpro, Xero and payments.
• Identify and document process improvements in finance workflows.
