Job summary

NZAB is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator/Quantity Surveyor to join our remote team. You will prepare cost estimates, takeoffs, BOQs, and BOMs, and manage RFQs, pricing, tendering, and posting POs once awarded.

You will coordinate with Project Managers on schedules, procurement, and costs, while maintaining documentation and supporting handover and close-out. A portfolio is required and candidates must be able to work 7:00 AM–4:00 PM (Philippines time).

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in electrical or construction estimating, quantity surveying, project engineering, or project coordination.
• Experience on medium to large commercial, industrial, mining, or resources projects.
• Experience preparing accurate estimates, takeoffs, BOQs/BOMs, and quotes.
• Australian estimating experience and familiarity with AS/NZS 3000 and electrical codes.
• Experience with Australian/New Zealand companies or offshore Australian work.
• Strong ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specs, and scopes.
• Portfolio is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate electrical estimates, drawing takeoffs, BOQs, and BOMs using Groundplan and ECS estimating tool.
• Manage RFQ, pricing, tendering, and quoting processes to meet deadlines.
• Coordinate procurement and purchase orders with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Support project coordination and mobilization with Project Managers.
• Assist with progress claims, variations, and cost-to-complete tracking.
• Maintain project documentation including drawings, RFIs, claims, variations, and as-builts.
• Support handover and close-out with complete documentation.
• Utilize systems like simPRO, Groundplan, ECS Estimating Tool, Excel, Xero, ClickUp, Bluebeam Revu.
