Job summary

D2B is seeking an experienced Lead Estimator/Quantity Surveyor for a fully remote role. You will lead the estimating team, oversee cost estimates, quantity take-offs, and cost breakdowns for residential and commercial projects, and mentor junior staff.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in estimation/quantity surveying, leadership experience, and a portfolio showcasing Australian/New Zealand project work. You will collaborate with managers and clients to ensure pricing accuracy and strong cost

Qualifications

• 5+ years of proven experience as Estimator or Quantity Surveyor in construction.
• At least 5 years in a leadership role managing or mentoring a team.
• Experience on Australian/New Zealand construction projects is mandatory.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and pricing.
• Ability to read and interpret Australian/New Zealand drawings/specs.
• Portfolio demonstrating estimating and project experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of estimators/quantity surveyors.
• Prepare accurate cost estimates, quantity take-offs, and cost breakdowns.
• Review and validate estimates prepared by junior team members.
• Support tendering and bidding processes.
• Collaborate with project managers, clients, and stakeholders to ensure pricing accuracy.
• Implement processes to improve estimating efficiency and cost control.
