Job summary

D2b is hiring a Commercial Accountant for NZ Remote. The role covers day-to-day bookkeeping, data processing in Xero, and consolidation of monthly financial statements across multiple entities.

You’ll interact with insurance brokers and refinancing teams, supporting system implementations and reconciliations. Ideal candidates have 3-5 years in commercial accounting, strong Excel and cloud bookkeeping skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks with accuracy.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified with 3-5 years experience in a related field.
• Commercial accounting background.
• Experience leading day-to-day work within a project team.
• Demonstrable problem-solving skills and eye for detail.
• Good keyboard skills and proficiency with spreadsheets.
• Proficiency with cloud-based bookkeeping software and AI apps.
• Strong time management and verbal/written communication.

Responsibilities

• Process day-to-day accounting data and transactions in Xero.
• Prepare forecasts and daily cash flows; liaise with brokers and refinancing team.
• Consolidate monthly financial statements; oversee GL reconciliations.
• Create and maintain Fixed Asset Registers for each unit.
• Build monthly financial statements and support board meetings with explanations.
• Assist with tax compliance and supplier account reconciliations.
