Job summary

Manila Recruitment is seeking a Senior Management Accountant for New Zealand (Remote). You will manage monthly, bi-monthly and quarterly management accounts for a portfolio of clients, preparing reports and tax compliance work.

You will analyze performance, provide commercial insights, supervise 1–2 junior staff, and contribute to budgeting, forecasting and cash flow. This contract role requires strong technical accounting skills and the ability to deliver on time.

Qualifications

• Take ownership of a portfolio of clients requiring monthly, bi-monthly and quarterly management accounts.
• Independently prepare and review management reports, financial statements and tax compliance work.
• Analyse business performance and provide commercial insights and recommendations to clients.
• Review and challenge accounting treatments relating to stock, gross profit margins, accruals, prepayments, financing arrangements and fixed assets.
• Assist clients with budgeting, forecasting and cashflow management.

• Review work and provide coaching and technical guidance.
• Assist with training and development of team members.
• Help allocate work and manage deadlines across the team.
