Job summary

Zenith Outsourcing Pty Ltd is seeking a meticulous Remote Accountant/Bookkeeper to manage financial recording, payroll, A/P/A/R, and compliance. The role collaborates with leadership to keep the books clean, cash flow accurate, and operations smoothly running in a remote setup.

You'll use Xero and ERP tools, support NZ/AU tax needs, and maintain strong English communication. The position offers steady weekly hours and a flexible remote arrangement across international time zones.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience.
• Experience with NZ and AU tax frameworks, GST, and payroll preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent (CPA/CA/Certified Bookkeeper).
• Expert knowledge of Xero and ERP/job management software.
• Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills.
• Experience with trades/construction or project-based businesses is advantageous.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Available during NZ business hours.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable and receivable, supplier invoices, purchase orders, and invoicing.
• Perform bank reconciliations across multi-currency accounts (Xero).
• Oversee payroll processing and wage reconciliations.
• Assist with GST, PAYE, and year-end compliance reporting.
• Prepare monthly P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and job profitability reports.
• Review subcontractor billing and verify insurance before payments.
