Job summary

Emapta is seeking an AP Specialist to enhance our property-community accounts payable processes from a permanent work-from-home setup. You will code invoices, resolve discrepancies, and support reconciliations across managed communities.

Ideal candidates bring hands-on invoice coding, strong Excel skills, and solid US GAAP knowledge, with experience using QuickBooks or Xero. This role offers night shift hours and ongoing professional development through Emapta Academy.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of accounts payable experience with hands-on invoice coding.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger coding structures, cost centers, and property allocations.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or similar platforms.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
• Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and fundamental accounting principles.
• Proficient in Microsoft Teams and collaboration tools.
• Experience handling customer-facing financial inquiries and maintaining accurate data entry.

Responsibilities

• Review incoming vendor invoices for completeness, accuracy, and supporting documentation.
• Code invoices to the correct GL accounts, cost centers, properties, and expense categories.
• Match invoices with POs, contracts, or budgets and resolve coding discrepancies.
• Route coded invoices through approvals and prevent processing delays.
• Process AP transactions including HOA dues, community expenses, and payments.
• Maintain consistent coding standards across communities for accurate reporting.
• Reconcile vendor statements and assist with month-end closings.
• Prepare financial summaries and supporting documentation for managers and boards.
