Job summary

Huzzle is seeking a Business Development Representative to independently build and execute an outbound prospecting process aimed at US-based business owners. The role focuses on filling the founder's calendar with qualified 15-minute discovery calls and requires you to manage multi-step outreach with AI-assisted research.

You will work remotely, targeting owner-operated businesses across home services, local retail, restaurants, and more, while maintaining CRM records and proving weekly meeting

Qualifications

• 3+ years of outbound sales experience, specifically booking meetings over the phone for US-based companies.
• Proven experience building an outbound sales process from scratch, including prospect lists, call sequences, scripts, and outreach strategies.
• Daily experience with AI tools such as ChatGPT or Claude for prospect research, personalization, and follow-up writing.
• Previous experience booking meetings directly with US small business owners and decision-makers.
• Experience targeting industries such as home services, trades, local retail, restaurants, or similar owner-operated businesses.
• Demonstrated ability to consistently achieve weekly meeting-generation targets, supported by real performance metrics from previous roles.
• Strong cold-calling, objection-handling, and gatekeeper-navigation skills.
• Experience working independently during US business hours in a remote environment without constant supervision.
• Hands‑on experience setting up and managing sales tools, including CRMs, dialers, email inboxes, and outreach sequences.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain accurate CRM records and performance reports.
• A proactive, analytical mindset with the confidence to identify problems and recommend improvements.

Responsibilities

• Work through targeted lists of US-based business owners, researching each company before making contact.
• Proactively contact business owners, navigate gatekeepers professionally, and generate interest in the company's data solutions.
• Book qualified 15-minute discovery calls with business owners and key decision-makers.
• Ensure prospects meet the company's qualification criteria.
• Send personalized follow-up emails after meaningful conversations to maintain engagement and improve conversion rates.
• Confirm scheduled meetings both the day before and the morning of the call.
• Record all calls, conversations, follow-ups, and meeting outcomes in the CRM on the same day.
• Submit daily activity reports covering dials, owner conversations, meetings booked, and meetings held.
• Identify successful opening lines, common objections, and industries with the highest engagement rates.
• Take ownership of the outbound process and proactively recommend improvements to scripts, prospect lists, sequences, and sales tools.
