Job summary

Sourcefit is seeking a highly organized Accountant to support daily accounting operations, financial reporting, and compliance across multiple entities. The role covers bookkeeping, general ledger management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll support, reconciliations, fixed assets, inventory accounting, and month-end closing activities.

This remote position follows Australian schedules and requires strong analytical skills with attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate

Qualifications

• Experience in general accounting, bookkeeping, or similar role.
• Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Experience supporting month-end closing and financial reporting processes.
• Knowledge of accounting principles, terminology, and financial processes.
• Prior experience with Australian accounting standards and processes is preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices and vendor reconciliations.
• Generate customer invoices and reconcile receipts.
• Perform bank reconciliations and cash management tasks.
• Maintain GL and post journal entries; manage accruals/prepayments.
• Support GST/BAS preparation and payroll tax reconciliations.
• Assist with fixed asset registers and depreciation calculations.
