Job summary

Veremark is a remote-first HR tech scale-up delivering verification and whistleblowing solutions worldwide. We seek an Accountant to own month-end close, GL maintenance, and intercompany reconciliations across a defined entity cluster.

You will support day-to-day finance operations and collaborate with the FC&O team on reporting and controls. This hands-on role requires strong accounting discipline, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5-7 years of experience in accounting or finance operations with hands-on month-end close and GL management.
• Experience with Xero or similar cloud-based accounting system.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines across entities/workstreams.
• Good communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own month-end close for a defined cluster of entities.
• Maintain general ledger and reconcile key balance sheet accounts.
• Process AP/AR, vendor invoices, and payment runs for entities.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and treasury support.
• Post payroll journals and reconcile payroll accounts.
• Prepare tax schedules and assist audit queries.
• Act as first point of contact for finance queries from internal stakeholders.
