Law Assist Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Registered Migration Agent to manage a diverse portfolio of Australian visa applications. You will provide strategic migration advice and work closely with our legal team to achieve timely client outcomes.
The role requires OMARA registration, solid knowledge of the Migration Act 1958 and Regulations, and hands-on experience drafting and lodging complex visa submissions for partners, employer-sponsored visas, skilled migration, and student visas.
We are seeking an experienced, dynamic, and detail-oriented Registered Migration Agent (RMA) to join our growing legal and migration practice.
In this role, you will manage a diverse portfolio of Australian visa applications, assisting individuals, families, and corporate clients through the complexities of Australia's migration framework. You will work closely with our legal team to provide strategic, accurate, and high-quality migration advice, ensuring positive and timely outcomes for our clients.
Client Consultation & Advice: Conduct initial and ongoing consultations with clients to assess migration eligibility, explain complex visa pathways, and recommend tailored strategic solutions.
Visa Application Management: Prepare, draft, and lodge a wide range of visa applications (including Partner Visas, Employer-Sponsored Visas like TSS/Subclass 482 and ENS/Subclass 186, Skilled Migration, and Student Visas) through the Department of Home Affairs portals.
Document Verification & Collation: Thoroughly review supporting documentation, statutory declarations, and evidence to ensure strict compliance with the Migration Act 1958 and Migration Regulations 1994.
Submission Drafting: Write comprehensive, persuasive legal submissions and cover letters supporting complex visa applications or appeals.
Case Management: Maintain accurate, up-to-date client files and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment while tracking application progress.
Regulatory Compliance: Stay fully informed of continuous changes to Australian immigration laws, policies, and procedural instructions, maintaining professional registration standards (OMARA).
Stakeholder Communication: Liaise professionally with clients, corporate sponsors, the Department of Home Affairs, the Administrative Review Tribunal (ART), and external assessors (e.g., skills assessing bodies).
Current Registration: Must be a current Registered Migration Agent (RMA) with the Office of the Migration Agents Registration Authority (OMARA).
Experience: Minimum of 2-4 years of post-registration experience managing a diverse caseload of complex visa applications.
Legal Knowledge: In-depth, practical knowledge of the Migration Act 1958, Migration Regulations, and current Departmental policy guidelines.
Client-Centric Approach: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate, calm, and professional demeanor when guiding clients through high-stakes life events.
Organizational Skills: Meticulous attention to detail, exceptional time-management skills, and the ability to manage competing deadlines efficiently.
