JOB SUMMARY:
Sourcing Officer is responsible for building and maintaining a consistent pipeline of qualified candidates to support the organization's current and future manpower requirements.
The role focuses on proactive candidate sourcing, talent pooling, market mapping, recruitment campaigns, and initial candidate engagement across frontline, professional, specialist, and operational roles.
The Sourcing Officer works closely with the Talent Acquisition Delivery team and hiring managers to understand manpower needs, identify available talent in the market, and ensure a steady flow of qualified candidates into the recruitment pipeline.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
1. Candidate Sourcing
Execute proactive sourcing strategies for assigned vacancies.
Identify and attract potential candidates through multiple channels, including:
Job portals
Social media
Employee referrals
Talent databases
Professional networks
Schools and universities
Community networks
Recruitment groups
Walk-in applicants
Search for passive candidates for priority and hard-to-fill positions.
Conduct targeted sourcing based on role requirements, location, experience, and qualifications.
Contact prospective candidates and introduce relevant career opportunities.
Maintain a consistent pipeline of qualified candidates.
2. Talent Pool Development
Build and maintain talent pools for frequently recruited positions.

4. High-Volume Sourcing
Support high-volume recruitment requirements for operational and frontline positions.

Conduct localized sourcing activities for stores or sites with manpower gaps.
Support recruitment caravans, job fairs, and mass hiring activities.
Monitor applicant volume and sourcing conversion.
5. School & Community Sourcing
Build relationships with schools, universities, training institutions, and community organizations.
Coordinate campus recruitment activities.
Participate in career fairs and school recruitment events.
Develop partnerships that provide a sustainable talent pipeline.
Maintain a database of school and community recruitment partners.
Identify opportunities for apprenticeships, internships, and entry-level hiring.
6. Talent Market Mapping
Conduct basic talent market research for assigned positions.
Identify potential sources of talent by role and location.
Map talent availability for hard-to-fill positions.
Monitor recruitment trends and candidate behavior.
Gather information on competitor hiring activities when relevant.
Provide talent-market insights to Talent Acquisition leadership.
7. Candidate Engagement
Establish initial contact with prospective candidates.
Communicate job opportunities clearly and professionally.
Explain basic role requirements, location, schedule, and recruitment process.
Maintain regular communication with candidates throughout sourcing and screening.
Respond promptly to candidate inquiries.
Maintain positive relationships with prospective candidates even when they are not immediately selected.
8. Initial Candidate Screening

11. Recruitment Platforms & Social Media
Maintain job postings across approved recruitment platforms.
Monitor applications and sourcing responses.

Support development of recruitment-related digital content.
Monitor engagement and applicant response by channel.
Ensure job postings contain accurate and approved information.
12. Candidate Database & ATS Management
Maintain accurate candidate profiles in the Applicant Tracking System.
Update candidate status promptly.
Avoid duplicate candidate records.
Ensure sourced candidates are properly tagged and categorized.
Maintain accurate source information for recruitment analytics.
Ensure candidate information is handled confidentially.
13. Recruitment Reporting
Maintain sourcing and pipeline trackers.
Monitor key sourcing metrics such as:

Recommend new sourcing channels and recruitment partnerships.
Test alternative sourcing approaches for hard-to-fill positions.
Maintain sourcing templates, scripts, and trackers.
Share effective sourcing practices with the Talent Acquisition team.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
At least 5 years in Recruitment Sourcing preferably in the related industry
Experience in candidate sourcing and recruitment platforms
Experience in high-volume recruitment is required
Must be willing to go offsite for recruitment related activities
