Job summary

Hammerjack Pty Ltd in Manila is seeking a claims professional to manage motor vehicle recovery claims from lodgement to resolution, coordinating with insurers and third parties to drive timely, cost-effective outcomes.

You will review documentation, police reports, repair estimates and assess liability, while negotiating settlements and maintaining reserves. The role offers a hybrid work setup with 3 days in the BGC office and 2 days work from home.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Legal/Pre-Law, or related field.
• Minimum 4 years experience in Australian motor claims or closely related function.
• Experience reviewing liability, police reports, and repair estimates.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of motor vehicle recovery claims from lodgement through to resolution, driving matters toward timely and cost-effective outcomes.
• Review claim documentation, police reports, repair estimates, and technical assessments to establish liability and accurately quantify losses.
• Build well-evidenced recovery cases and prepare letters of demand and other recovery correspondence for at-fault third parties and their insurers.
• Negotiate recovery settlements with third-party insurers, repairers, and legal representatives.
• Maintain and monitor finance reserves across recovery files, ensuring amounts remain accurate and appropriately updated.

Key Criteria

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Legal/Pre-Law or related program.
• At least 4 years experience within the Australian motor claims industry is essential.
• Experience in motor vehicle recoveries, third-party claims, motor assessing, or a closely related insurance function.
• Working knowledge of Australian motor vehicle insurance recovery processes, liability principles, and claims practices.
• Strong negotiation and dispute resolution skills, with the ability to achieve practical settlement outcomes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly when dealing with Australian insurers, legal representatives, and other stakeholders.
• Strong decision-making and analytical skills, with the ability to assess evidence and determine liability and quantum.
• Ability to work autonomously, manage a portfolio of claims, and prioritise competing matters effectively.

Work setup:

• Manila (BGC, Taguig): Australian business hours (6am to 3pm Manila time) with a hybrid set up of 3 days in our BGC office and 2 days Work From Home.
