Job summary

Highpoint Property Ventures in Cebu City is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates from plans, specs, and scope of work. The ideal candidate has a Civil/Quantity Surveying background with 2+ years in construction, strong Excel skills, and the ability to read drawings and manage cost control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related construction field and 2+ years QS experience.
• Ability to perform quantity takeoffs, costing, and BOQ preparation.
• Strong reading of architectural/structural drawings and cost control.
• Proficient with Excel and estimating software; detail-oriented.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates based on plans, specifications, and scope of work
• Review architectural, structural, and other construction drawings and specifications
• Prepare project estimates, material costing, and bill of quantities (BOQ)
• Prepare and evaluate project billings and supporting documents
• Monitor project costs, quantities, materials, and actual site accomplishments
• Assist in preparing and evaluating variation orders and additional works
• Review supplier and subcontractor quotations and conduct cost comparisons
• Monitor project expenditures against approved budgets
• Maintain accurate records of estimates, BOQs, billings, variation orders, and other project cost documents
• Conduct site inspections and verification of actual quantities and accomplishments when required

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
• At least 2 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, Cost Engineer, or similar role in the construction industry
• Strong experience in quantity takeoff, estimation, costing, and BOQ preparation
• Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and project cost control
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and construction drawings
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and relevant estimating or construction software
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Good communication and coordination skills
• Willing to conduct site visits when required
