Job summary

LEYI CONSTRUCTION CORP. in Pasig, Philippines, is seeking a Quantity Surveyor for a school structural retrofit project. The role covers full quantity take-off, BOQ management, and cost control through the project lifecycle.

You will work with clients and consultants, interpret construction drawings, ensure DPWH-like standards, and produce accurate commercial documents in English. A minimum of three years' QS experience on building renovations is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field; minimum 3 years QS experience in renovations or retrofit projects.
• Proficient in interpretation of drawings, QTO, BOQ, progress billing and variation management.
• Excellent Excel skills and capable of English official correspondence.

Responsibilities

• Perform full quantity take-off (QTO) based on drawings for retrofitting; prepare and update BOQ and quantity documents.
• Verify on-site quantities and prepare monthly progress payment applications for review by consultants and clients.
• Manage variation orders, site instructions and project claims; cost reconciliation and DUPA analysis per govt standards.
• Review subcontractors' measurement reports; maintain measurement registers and cost control records.
• Attend commercial coordination meetings and resolve quantity and contractual disputes with client/consultant QS teams.
• Support final accounts and project settlement on completion.

About the role

Quantity Surveyor for a School Structural Retrofitting Project in Pasig, Philippines. The role involves performing full quantity take-off based on construction drawings, managing project quantities and costs, and coordinating with clients and consultants throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Perform full quantity take-off (QTO) based on construction drawings for structural retrofitting and general civil works; prepare, verify and regularly update BOQ and project quantity documents
• Verify physical completed quantities on-site, compile and submit monthly progress payment applications for review by consultants and clients
• Manage variation orders, site instructions and project claims; conduct cost reconciliation and prepare DUPA unit price analysis in compliance with Philippine government project standards
• Review subcontractors' measurement reports and payment applications; maintain accurate measurement registers, variation trackers and cost control records throughout the project
• Attend commercial coordination meetings and resolve quantity and contractual disputes with client-side and consultant-side QS teams
• Support all final account procedures and project settlement works upon project completion

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related fields; minimum 3 years of hands‑on QS experience in building renovation or structural retrofitting projects
• Proficient in drawing interpretation, QTO, BOQ preparation, progress billing and variation management; familiarity with DPWH measurement standards is a strong advantage
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and competent in AutoCAD; capable of preparing all project commercial documents and official correspondence in English
• Prior working experience on Philippine construction sites is preferred, with a clear understanding of local government project commercial procedures
• Detail-oriented, with strong pressure resistance and teamwork spirit
